Challenges?

So I was trying to think of a way to create a challenge and may have come up with something.  For example, if I were to set the goal to clean out my kitchen cupboards, I could take before and after pictures and post that I finished.  Then any time in the next six months someone could challenge that project and I would have to post current pictures to see if I was able to keep them organized or if they were once again disheveled.  What do you think?

  1. Honestly I think challenges and competition are the only way I am going to be able to get on a cleaning routine. I am so not self-motivated. But if someone tells me "today you should do ________" I can do it.

Here's another possibility for challenges (i think you and I already talked about this one):
Brenda wants to clean her cupboards out today. (Maybe on a project Wednesday?) So she takes a picture of her cupboards "before" and posts it. She then tags everyone to also take a picture of their cupboards. Everyone must post a picture of their cupboards immediately upon reading the challenge... i.e., no quick clean up. Brenda will then post an "after" picture to show everyone what an awesome organizer she is and make us feel jealous of her super-clean cupboards. Seeing the pictures will inspire Tami to also clean her cupboards and post an "after" picture.

    Just an idea.

Also, points work VERY well to motivate me... if we had a points system I would work very hard to kick all your butts.

  2. I could go with points. Just need a way to implement them. I love the 5 minute challenge! Keep up the good ideas.

  3. This is awesome. I love it. I like all the challenge ideas. It would be fun to have to post a "in the moment" picture, because it would be embarrassing enough sometimes to motivate us to clean. We could also do poll challenges i.e. Here is a picture of my hall closet. I'm going to clean it today. How long will it take me?
